Understanding Cinephilia

We live in an age where human beings possess big brains with even bigger ideas. My big brain takes in information via sight and sound and breaks down those elements to analyze why something is compelling or isn’t. My soul was designed to passionately embrace cinema and my big brain urges me to spit out critiques of each film I see to determine why its worth the watch or not.

I am aware that other people’s big brains at times may agree or disagree with mine, perhaps that is why I enjoy discussing these differences with others. For whatever reason, my pleasure in life derives from intellectual discourse with audiences about films and its various theories, and also about religion, politics, sexuality, society and any of that other controversial stuff that makes most people uncomfortable. So comment if you like something, or if you don’t, or even if you’re partial. I just like an open dialogue. And movies. And music. And reading. And food, a lot.
